Tony Crook
Registration Secretary
Tony has been a key figure in grassroots football for over two decades. He began coaching with Wells City Youth in 2001 and went on to manage their U18 side for nearly 20 years, guiding countless players through their development. Alongside coaching, he has served as Secretary of Wells City U18s since 2006, combining hands-on team administration with wider club responsibilities.
He joined the WCFYL committee in 2012 as Registration Secretary, a role that has grown enormously during his tenure. What started as managing around 500 paper registrations has expanded to over 1,400 annual player registrations across 35 clubs, with Tony ensuring the process runs smoothly and efficiently for all teams.
In addition to his league duties, Tony was appointed as the WCFYL’s representative on the Somerset FA Council in 2025, giving the league a strong voice in county football matters.
Professionally, Tony has worked extensively in electronics and engineering, holding senior production and management roles since the 1990s. His blend of professional rigour and football passion makes him an invaluable member of the committee.
